ELISA Systems is part of the IEH family of companies. Where relevant, this policy explains how that relationship affects your information.

This website is built and maintained by IEH Inc. on behalf of ELISA Systems Pty Ltd, an Australian private company (ABN 75 053 992 715) and a proud member of the IEH family of companies. We manufacture food allergen test kits and are based in Queensland, Australia.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you choose to give us, and a limited amount of information collected automatically when you use the website. We do not currently collect payment or financial account details online.

  • Contact and enquiry details – when you use our Contact Us form: your name, company, email address, phone number, postal address, the products you are interested in, your message, and your preferred way to be contacted.
  • Quote requests – when you add a test kit to a quote request: the product(s) and quantities selected, your name, email address, and any message you include. No pricing or payment is collected at this stage; a member of our team follows up directly.
  • Member account details – if you register for a member account: your name, email address, a password (stored in encrypted form), and the account type you request. New accounts are reviewed and approved manually by our staff before access is granted, and access to specific member resources depends on the account type approved.
  • Website usage information – we use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time spent on pages, the site that referred you, your approximate location (city/country level), and your device and browser type. This is used in aggregate to understand and improve the website.
  • Technical information – like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and site-operation purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and quote requests;
  • Provide, maintain, and improve this website and its member area;
  • Understand how the website is used – for example, which products and pages visitors look at most – so we can improve its content and usability;
  • Create and administer member accounts, including reviewing and approving registration requests and controlling access to member-only resources;
  • Send you information you have requested, such as product literature or a follow-up from our team;

This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function – for example, to keep your quote-request list together as you browse, and to keep you signed in if you have a member account.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Member passwords are stored in encrypted form and are never visible to our staff. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, including to respond to your enquiry, maintain your member account while it remains active, and meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. Website analytics data is kept for a limited period in line with our Google Analytics data-retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Your Privacy Rights – Australia

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You have the right to:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Commercial emails we send will include a way to unsubscribe, in line with the US CAN-SPAM Act.

International Data Transfers

ELISA Systems is based in Australia, but some of the service providers who help us run this website are located overseas, so your personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia. In particular, our website hosting provider and Google (which provides Google Analytics) are based in the United States, and our email delivery provider, Brevo, operates internationally. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected consistently with this policy.

This website is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
