Enhanced Extraction Solution
Polyphenols are compounds that are found in the bark, leaves, and fruit of some plants. They are present in many foods, giving them their characteristic colouring and tastes. However, this does provide a challenge in the food-testing lab as polyphenols can also interfere with the extraction and detection of various food allergens.
ELISA Systems has developed an Enhanced Extraction Solution (ESADDSOL) to improve the recovery of allergens from foods containing polyphenols. This includes such products as dark chocolate, wine, fruit juices, herbs, and spices. The ELISA Systems Enhanced Extraction Solution contains no allergens, hence removing the risk of contaminating a laboratory with milk or soy residues.
